So, your "zillion" is about 2,000?
Any P4 Intel's system is totally incompatible with
80% of installed base of AGP cards, so what?

Athlon processor is a processor of choice for
"computer enthusiasts". Enthusiast usually means
a non-professional. They plug the most recent
high-speed CPUs into their boards that usually have
either power supply peak current problem, or
BIOS has no clues about configuration of the
new processor, or the board revision was never
certified with the new CPU. So what?
