"Snohomish County Sheriff is no longer investigating theft crimes in unincorporated Snohomish County. He simply sends the victim a questionairre and stamps "closed" on the file. He says he needs to hire 47 more deputies. The council has money for 5 deputies. Thanks to the Initiative 747." With the way people vote around here, I don't believe Seattle's future looks that great. As you say the state has the highest unemployment rate in the country. A week a so ago, I was chatting with a lady who had returned from a trip to Portland. She thought it would be a great place to live. I agree with her. I imagine new businesses that look for a home in the West will discover that Portland is a nicer city and the people are friendlier than Seattle's folks. She asked me why the Seattle scene was cold and unfriendly. I gave her a few reasons, although I told her I couldn't figure it out myself.
