I have had nothing but good experiences in Malaysia, whether with the Muslim Malays, Chinese Buddhists or with Indians (both Christian and Hindu).

I do think that the divided loyalty thing is something that is a legitimate concern, especially when it is made abundantly clear by the Muslim population.

I have found that racism is more accepted and open in many of the countries that I do business in. In Malaysia, you should hear how the Chinese talk about the Malays. I won't even go into the stuff that I have heard the Japanese say about the Chinese and Koreans. And I had a Korean once tell me that whites were the "n" word and that blacks were "dogs". And he wasn't saying it out of anger.

Can the peaceful Muslims help to change the perception though?
