variation in how wedges are drawn (still learning).

For example, the COMPX "wedge" appears to really be an up-channel, because the bottom line was started at the Sept low, and the next (higher) low constrains it.

The MSFT "wedge" is clearly wedge-shaped, because the bottom line starts at the higher low, immediately following the Sept low.

I'm not clear on this.... perhaps I am missing a fine detail here on wedges. On the surface, it seems that if the bottom line on the MSFT graph started on the Sept low we might have the same problem (i.e., two apparently parallel lines) as on the COMPX chart.
