In 1995-96, AMAT was emerging but still part of the semi-equip pack. In 2005, AMAT will be considered the number one technology company and will be accorded a much higher multiple than 16. The 35 multiple might still be high, but I think 25-30 is reasonable if long term interest rates hold close to current levels.
