wbmw, do you remember Nvidia's 1st graphics chipset (NV1)? It bombed big time. It actually pre-dated the Voodoo stuff but nobody cared about 3D at the time. CPUS were not fast enough yet. I am still not convinced they have problems with their chipset that cannot be resolved through driver fixes. The cost of new Motherboards is always very high and comes down later when availability becomes widespread. I've seen brand new Abit boards go from $160 at into to $120 within 4 weeks. Most of that is profit for the pricewatch vendors who prey on the enthusiasts that want the latest and greatest. I think the key is whether any OEMS will go for the Nvidia boards. You can build a high performance box with minimal installation hassles with those boards. I would also like to see Micro/Flex Atx Versions. Those would be compelling choices for SD shops.
