Brookelise,

What a poetic sense of expression you have. I enjoy your posts.

How do I think Stochastics Slow compares with my attempt at a proxy for the RedLine indicator?
I think it's better then mine. I don't think it's as responsive as Bill's Redline. I'm trying Stoch(8,5) in Metastock. That's my guess for how to get Stochastics Slow. If there's a better way, I'd appreciate the feedback.

As a proxy, it's smoother (and doesn't snap up and down so much as the beast that emerged from my experimentation). Sometimes, it seems not to go as low before a turnaround. This makes an impact on me because most of the time I'm watching for turn-ups when Red and Yellow are at/close to extreme lows together. Red turning up in the middle of the oscillator range doesn't catch my attention the same way. I'm still learning and exploring - but I'm fascinated by Bill's system.

You are doing everyone a big service by including charts from Bill on your web page. They can see and judge for themselves.

Regards,

Paul
