LOL! Why am not I surprised at Fisk's take on all this?

He has to be just boiling that the Taleban crumbled so easily and the rest of the Arab world hasn't risen up against us....

And the reference to WWI is particularly ludicrous, because the way the military action is being prosecuted is the absolute antithesis of how it was fought in that conflict: our military (and Britain's) is being anything but wasteful and profligate with the lives of our armed soldiers.

Of course, that knowledge has got to be eating at him too.
