1999/6/28 - Imagis Awarded Vancouver City Police Contract
Vancouver, B.C., June 28, 1999 - Imagis Technologies Inc. ("IMAGIS"), a leading supplier of software products to the criminal justice system, will install an integrated arrest and booking system, CABS Network solution, at the Vancouver Police Department and at the new city jail in July.
"This is a major contract for Imagis," commented Mr. Iain Drummond, President and CEO. "It adds the largest police department in the province to our current CABS customer base of over 30 RCMP detachments and police departments in B.C., and is pivotal in our expansion throughout Canada and the United States."
CABS will be fully integrated with other technologies in use at the jail facility such as the Sierra Systems Lock-up Management System (LMS). It will also interface with electronic live-scan fingerprinting, where fingerprints will be digitally scanned and added, together with the mugshot, to an offender's record.
