1999/9/30 - Prince Rupert RCMP Joins CABS User Group

September 30, 1999 Vancouver - President & C.E.O. Iain Drummond announced that the Computerized Arrest & Booking System (CABS) was selected as the system of choice at Prince Rupert Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

The CABS Version 7.0 solution will include replacement of competitive technology, conversion of legacy data and imagery and the ability to participate in the CABS Regional Database Project. A CABS license will be installed at Prince Rupert RCMP Detachment by October 22nd 1999. The selection of CABS will allow this northern detachment the ability to join the British Columbia CABS Regional Database Project. CABS Regional Data-sharing allows authorized users to actively store and search all criminal offence related records within a centralized offender repository. The benefit to the police professional is access to records and digital photography from diverse geographic locations, resulting in faster and more efficient identification and processing of offenders.
