C, re: system config

The box seems to be stable now with a replacement HDD - 12 hours and counting at 100% CPU load. There were no hardware/software changes from the 4+ months of continuous operation during the summer to October's instability. The only possibly relevant changes were a HDD that went from 15% full to 70%, some dust accumulation on the passive case vents (to no observed change in case operating temperature as the ambient conditions cooled).

System was overclocked from 1.2 to 1.4GHz using CPU multiplier and at stock voltage (1.75V, motherboard on "auto" was 1.80V). At the moment, I have returned the system to 1.4GHz @ 1.80V to place a little more strain on the system. The +5V "line" seems a little depressed at 4.68-4.78 so there could be some PSU under-sizing contributing to the situation. However, the HDD seems to be the culprit.
