2000/10/17 - Imagis and Abbey Group Chosen By Nevada County, California For Law Enforcement Software Applications

Vancouver, BC, October 17, 2000; (OTCBB: "IGSTF"; CDNX: "NAB"; Germany: "IGY") Imagis Technologies Inc., (Imagis) a leading global software developer of biometric solutions announced today that Imagis and The Abbey Group will integrate their software to supply Nevada County, California with a complete law enforcement suite.

Imagis' flagship criminal database application, CABS, will be integrated with Abbey's Jail Corrections Management System, JCMS. The integration will allow the County to book, track, and manage all arrestees within the County. The system will be networked using Imagis' Regional Data Sharing which will allow all agencies including the County Jails, Sheriff's Office, Police Departments and the County Attorney's office to share information including data from police cruisers. Nevada County is currently evaluating Imagis' ID-2000 facial recognition software that will allow the rapid matching of arrestee images in local or regional databases using only facial images as the search criteria.
