sq39, that is a bit of a tricky situation. Since those puts are so far out of the money, your time value is eroding. As for Jan or March, those are traditionally strong months, so you may not have done any better.

It may be a little late in the game to buy calls to protect the upside too. If you'd have done that yesterday you could have probably salvaged some of your position.

All I can say is I hope things come around and work out for you. On your side is a falling 200-DMA which is at around 1954, I believe. A re-test of that is not too far away from where we are now. 1941 could suffice, IMO.
