OT.....

I am on small hunting expedition in north of France with some close buddies. Will be back to the world and associated issues like politics and markets by Sunday. Thanks a lot for your nice little post. On a lighter note 'head of states' are not big people and not my cup of tea, I will be rather dancing in Polo.

Any way my President is doing the right things to block any criminals leaving Pakistan today FBI opened an office in Karachi. The well-equipped Karachi FBI has special satellite linkages to US data banks to scan every passenger before he or she is cleared for departing the country on any international flight. The Pakistani Interior Ministry is helping the FBI to scrutinise the arrival and departure of all the passengers and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) is acting as the coordinator. The President really wants to go out of his way to help quash rumors that NYT dutifully publishes everyday.

The Government of Pakistan has provided extraordinary facilities to establish an FBI desk at Karachi airport. All the equipment fitted at the post was allowed to be imported duty free as a special case, sources disclosed.

With the help of the US data banks, FBI officials at Karachi airport can identify any suspect through his photo, passport or name, father's name, address etc. The official explanation for providing such a facility to the FBI is that they are providing training to the local immigration officials to stop the movement of travellers on fake visas.

The establishment of FBI desks in Islamabad, Peshawar and Lahore airports is expected soon, the sources said. FBI is suspecting that after the fall of Taliban in Afghanistan, foreign fighters and terrorists, especially Arabs, would use Pakistani airports to escape. They want to physically monitor the movements at all airports so that no wanted person escapes their net in collusion with any one.
