I'm sure there is some logical explanation as to the contradiction of those posts you have listed.

Obviously, someone has been posting under his name and should probably be brought to the attention of SI. I notice that happening on several occasions to my recollection to other individuals.

That's my guess. I'm sure Tim would not be fibbing about something like this.
