Joe's call in show tonight was a real treat. He really opened up -g-

1) Joe said UVA is probably the least talented team we'll play this year and he's going to try and run up the score if he can.

2) Joe has no respect for Al Golden and is prepared to meet him at mid-field with boxing gloves "if the Golden boy is man enough to show up".

3) Joe knew Al Groh's father back in their Brooklyn days and he was "twice the man that his sissy son is".

4) Joe says Al Groh probably would have been fired as the Jets coach if he hadn't quit on them last year to take the UVA job.

5) Joe says he has already made his hotel reservations in San Antonio.

6) We are putting 10 men in the box and letting Bruce Branch patrol the entire secondary by himself. Joe says there's no way UVA will be able to throw the ball.

7) We have installed the wishbone and will run Pete Gilmore, Gasparato, and "somebody named Johnson" all afternoon.

8) Tim Johnson has completed his class work and will replace both Finney and Graham. He's so good, he can play both linebacker spots and we'll add another defensive tackle to the line.

9) Joe's going to let Mike Robinson play on the kick-off return team once or twice. "He's probably going to transfer, so we might as well let him burn a year of eligibility".

10) Joe couldn't stay any longer, he had to "run down to Hooter's for some large and cold ones".

It was refreshing to hear Joe open up and tell us what he was really thinking.
