I don't look at it as stupid. Actually I look at it as the "bulls revenge". Kind of poetic justice for the way they are slowly put to death in the bull fights. The actual running only lasts for about 2 min each morning. And a high percentage of the people that actually run are Americans and Australians. Then the rest of the day and night is just a big festival atmosphere. But not too rowdy. The Spanish people have a great sense for the simple pleasures in life.
