Someone posted this little tidbit to me this AM. I'm not sure what it means exactly but it's interesting:

Like the Nittany Lions

The many writers and fans trying to analyze how the Washington Redskins have managed to make such a remarkable transformation are missing an obvious connection: Whatever the Penn State Nittany Lions have done on any given weekend, the Redskins (whose stars include PSU alums LaVar Arrington, Brett Conway, Ki-Jana Carter and Dave Szott) have followed suit. Washington's 0-5 start tracked Penn State's 0-4 start (which included an off week), not only with respect to the outcome but also in terms of how they lost (ugly). Joe Paterno then led the Lions to a breakout streak of five wins and one tough loss, but with the loss coming during the Redskins' bye week. In sum: The two teams have played on the same weekend nine times, and nine times have achieved the same result. Redskins fans may want to pay special attention to the PSU-U-Va. game tomorrow.
