The German chip manufacturer Infineon and the American chip manufacturer AMD plan according to a newspaper report a joint venture. Therefore a chip center in Dresden is to be built to 2003. The investment total is appropriate for the specification according to with approx. 0.5 billion DM. The enterprises did not acknowledge this report however so far yet.
