I believe Bush might be
persuaded to attack Iraq which would be a mistake at this point. He would be taking on too much.
Last I heard we hadn't captured OSB or Omar. Also, an attack on another Middle Eastern country
may set off a wave of terrorist attacks in the US.

I don't think it'll take a lot of convincing. I tend to look at near term terrorist attacks as less important than maintaining [or developing] world cooperation in dealing with terrorism.

I think the count on the NY trade centers is currently running around 4,000. I was reading that in the US last year there were 52,000 drug and drug related deaths. Not much concern there. In Sub-Sahara Africa an estimated 5,500 people die each day from AIDS. Sub-Sahara Africa considers the situation to be an emergency and wants relief from the patents that protect AIDS treatments. The US position is that it's more important to protect the patents. Any bets on whether we should look forward to [more] terrorism from Sub-Sahara Africa directed at the US?

I worry that a Harvard Professor who is a specialist in ebola has disappeared

Not good. If you see any more stories on that I'd appreciate it if you copy the links.

I noticed in the reponses to your post that someone mentioned North Korea, which is also getting some Admin PR. I know that N. Korea has been on the list of states sponsoring terrorism, but I can't remember any instances in the news where something specific has ever been written. Have you seen anything?

I worry that a Harvard Professor who is a specialist in ebola has disappeared. It sounds like foul play.
