You have a point. Credit agencies said they will hold on to any downgrade to see whether the deal can be completed.

DYN wants the pipeline not only because of being a good/bad deal (ie, "cheap" or "rippoff"...) but that it doesn't want to fight it in court and be just a part of credit's claims, at which point it may get less than $1.5B.

It seems that BK can save a lot of problems, including some little payback.
