Nope. Dell, Compaq, HP, and others either make their own, or use Intel's. The top tier OEMs do not get their motherboards from Taiwan, but since Pricewatch lists hundreds of vendors carrying Taiwanese motherboards, the tendency is to believe the myth that they do.
