BioSource International Holds Annual Meeting

CAMARILLO, Calif., June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSource International, Inc. (Nasdaq:BIOI) announced that its annual meeting of shareholders was held today at the Marriot Warner Center, Woodland Hills, Calif.

Shareholders approved the Company's nominated slate of Directors and the selection of the firm's independent public accountants, KPMG Peat Marwick LLP, Woodland Hills, Calif. The Board of Directors of the company is now comprised of James H. Chamberlain, chairman, Leonard M. Hendrickson, David J. Moffa, Ph.D., John R. Overturf, Jr. and Robert D. Weist.

Mr. Chamberlain was the founder of BioSource's predecessor company, in October 1989, and was previously Manager of Business Development for Amgen, Inc. Mr. Hendrickson, a Director since October 1993, is President of Isotope Products Laboratories. Dr. Moffa, a Director since April 1995, is a career biochemist and business manager who
currently is also a Director of Lab Corporation of America, Inc. Mr. Overturf, a Director since September 1993, is President of R.O.I., Inc. and the Combined Penny Stock Fund. Robert D. Weist, a Director since April 1995, is a business consultant, and was previously a Senior Vice President at Amgen, Inc.

BioSource International, Inc. is a Camarillo, Calif., based supplier of immunological reagents and test kits used in biomedical research. The Company offers more than 1,300 products, including recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies and ELISA assay kits to a variety of antigens, and custom DNA segments (oligonucleotides). For the year
ended December 31, 1996, BioSource reported earnings of $2,767,198, or $.35 per share, on revenues of $15,913,274.
