It was Leo Durocher who once said "nice guys finish last". Too bad he was not completely wrong. Especially in business, a lot of nasty people often succeed. George Steinbrenner, Al Davis, DeDe Brooks, Leona Helmsly and lot of other nasty people do quite well in the business world.
But, in the world of basketball, three of the nicest people have had the greatest success, eg, John Wooden, Dean Smith, and Coach K at Duke.
I don't know what category to put Andy Grove. But, for Andy not to turn out to be a mass murderer after his experiences in life is a tremendous triumph for man kind.
