The USA has more fundamental rights then the UK. Really, and have more to lose.

Financial union with Europe (the euro) would be in this countries best interest imho.

My only concern is the increasing amount of politicians and government officials the EEC has.

The mind boggling bureaucracy is a problem also.

I was never keen to join the EEC in the first place, perhaps it would be best to leave it completely. Let the country really learn to stand on it's feet.

OTOH, maybe a united Europe can give the USA a sound thrashing on the world markets.
