Here here boys. I like both of you.
Due to the old SD board I got interested in golds earlier this yr. Don't have time to day trade or do a lot of dd. I've accumulated and held some, about here where we are today, and traded a few for profits.
It hasn't been pleasant watching PM's languish here the last few months. Mostly back filling though, MO. I do believe golds have a really good base now, and I also noticed what ISO is talking about, re the lease rate inversion process ongoing, albeit with much less expertise than ISO. It was slow starting. At the same time I noted on Sharelynx that the shorts had peaked and reversed, and via the COTS that the commercials were madly covering, esp of recent.
So I definitly agree you're on to something ISO, and I would appreciate a little more explanation of your methodology(s). Thanks in advance.
George has posted Kaplan's remarks, so I've read Kaplan. He not so long opined that the PM market was slowly going to back. So it seems not only with the commodities, but also with the lease rates. If only we get follow thru. WOW.
The dike is getting more holes in it, and the ENRON effects will have more effects than we realize. To wit:
news.cnet.com
Hearings start soon in Congress on the ENRON debacle. Thousands of poor Joe Blows have effectively been robbed, whilst the execs made not only a few millions, but many. Go look at ENRON insider transactions. What a site. Politicians will now turn about face and become the great protectors of American Joe Blow. How divine. Watch for a sudden change in accounting honesty. I may be wrong but as I recall execs and members of the board are subject to suits. The lawyers may suddenly have more than asbestos to chase. This could get interesting. I hope so.
Long Golds (and a few Silvers) and getting longer. Long nothing else.
Short lots, including some yet overvalued NAS highflyers that will be unduly affected by the pro forma schmooze job. Does this make sense? AJC where are you now?
Slider's NAS and DOW predictions are on the mark, as are many of his other comments.
My first SI post.
A great board Frank and I hope I can contribute every now and then.
It is cold up here in north country, much further north than you Frank. |
