From a logical standpoint you cannot conclude that this event was caused by bombing just because bombing preceded it. That is a post hoc ergo propter hoc reasoning fallacy. The Talibean rout also occurred after I changed the oil in my car..... can I claim a causal relationship there?

Interesting though when the press interviewed the Taliban who have surrendered most said they couldn't stand anymore constant bombardment. They have been totally demoralised by the unrelenting rain of bombs. I agree that in most situations air warfare is not the only way to fight. I believe that the admin is just very worried about the loss of public support that would probably come with are boys coming back in body bags. Air power is a lot safer particularly when the opposition has none). Downside is it's expensive. OTOH it sure is fun to watch.
