Buffett has made it clear that he looks for three things in a partner -- 1. Integrity, 2. Intelligence and 3. Energy, and that if the partner doesn't have the first, then the other two make a lethal combination.

It is clear that the bigwigs at Enron had two of the above three attributes (no prizes for guessing!) . Buffett wouldn't touch this one -- at any price.
