Last week at my regularly scheduled appointment with my doctor, an internist, I asked if I could get a flu shot while I was there. "No, we couldn't get any serum this year. It all went to the supermarkets and big clinics." So that explained the long lines of elderly folks snaking thru the grocery aisles at Randall's awaiting their flu shots. At least at their doctor's offices, they could have been seated while waiting forever. Randall's greeter-pigeons have stopped squealing in protest of the electronic Bird Repeller. Either they're tough ol' birds or Randall's has capitulated and pulled the plug on the Repeller.
