Act II - 2 and 9 teams arent bowl eligible Act II focuses on the defense, who for all intents and purposes decided that it is much more fun to play with your Johnson than get hit by a large running back. Hey we held them to under 35 points. We did our job. Player of the year awards are up for grabs on a team with the worst defense in the history of the world. The trophy (a bronze limp Johnson covered with a condom with the end snipped off) inscribed with 'A good defense is SO important' was being fought over by David F. Benfatti and Shamar F. Finney. It slipped out of their tug of war and into the air toward Bruce F. Branch but he let it bounce off the ground a couple times before Jimmy F. Kennedy pounced on it, thinking it was toooo limp. Act II ends with a new defensive play book that shows only 8 defensive players for the coming year. All linebacker spots have been eliminated and the staff felt there was no need to replace with any other players. After watching old 70's sit coms on the bus trip back, the staff felt comfortable with this decision, chanting as they walked off the bus, 'Eight is Enough, Eight is enough, Eight is Enough.....'.
