It was a cause, one considered unpopular, that the late Princess Diana of England championed.

I read that there were tensions between Clinton, the US Congress and Europe b4 Clinton left office.
I had wondered why they existed . One reason is that the US Congress wouldn't go along with
European countries or perhaps it was only England which championed the removal of land mines, according to
an article in the Press.

In Afghanistan, I don't believe the US has a choice. We must remove those land mines.
