Jorj, there was a tremendous pressure on Israel by the Arabist in the US State Department and more so by Colin Powell not to react to the hideous terror attacks as Powell serves Arab interest in the ME. Fact is that when the US was attacked this year a war campaign started against the terrorist organization and the government who harbored them. The US State Department is playing double standard when it comes to Israel, not to mention the coward Europeans who already voice their opposition to US campaign against terror. Jordan "the dear brothers" of the PLO ousted Arafat and his scum during the so called "Black September" over 25,000 PLO were killed then Arafat moved to Lebanon ........ a civil war started there because of him ........ 230 US Marines were massacred in a suicide bombing ............. the US sat quiet ................ PLO got more guts and intensified their civil war ............ Syria entered the fry forcing Israel to act ............... then they blame Sharon for the actions of the Christian Falangist Army ............... PLO was expelled to and landed in Tunis. The US forced the Madrid conference leading to the so called Oslo agreement who proved to be a disaster ........ and further US and European pressure on Israel directly leaded to those repeated massacres since 1993. Just browse PLO web sites and you will see that they do not recognize Israel and they call Palestine the whole territory west of the Jordan River. .......... which BTW it was granted to the Jews as their Homeland, the same way the Brit's defined Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Emirates, Libya, Tunis, Algiers etc. .......... BTW at the same time the Brit's invented also Pakistan and Afghanistan, Bangladesh and so on. Haim
