Eric. What Blues songs do you play? Vocals too?

Rearranged Geoff Muldaur's (Maria's ole man BTW) acoustic blues version of Trouble In Mind with my a few original solo guitar lines midway through the vocal, years ago.

Lot of commercial covers from the Eagles, Beatles, Jackson Browne, a few Billy Joel (very tough to rearrange properly from piano). A few from Clapton Unplugged and several of his electric blues I reworked for acoustic including old Cream classic Sittin' On Top Of The World.

Greatest concert I ever saw was in 1968. 2 pals from Rutgers and I were broke and went early to meet the equipment truck. Got the roadies to let us help set up for free pass.

Were amazed when they told us it was OK to watch the show right behind the stage with them. Tuesday night filler in - of all places - a freakin' Catholic Jr H.S auditorium in northern New Jersey!. Set-up was on low risers. No curtain. Nothing.

For the entire night we stood right behind one of the late 60s legendary super bands.

Picture it. CREAM. At their peak!! They'd just come across country after recording Wheels Of Fire at the Fillmore in S.F.

Energy rush was just amazing from them playing while those huge Marshall stacks were powering out this brilliant wall of sound into an audience facing us and going bonkers. We saw and felt the concert from the band's perspective. What an experience!!! .

Clapton, incredibly charismatic. Looked like Buffalo Bill with shoulder length hair, beige long fringe jacket and mustach drooping way down over his mouth. Jack Bruce smacked out the first few numbers till the buzz phase of his speedball kicked in. From then on he was burning riffs on the bass I didn't think were humanly possible. And Baker? Forget it. A monster.<lol>

They started with White Room and ended with Toad. Clearly remember Sittin' On Top Of the World, Spoonful and several others being just great. And what would it have been without Clapton playing and singing Crossroads.

Eric, seen a lotta great concerts. But NEVER saw a band play together like that before...or since!
