Amein,
I think you are sidetracking the issue. I do not think anyone on this board disagrees with you when you say: "Why do we always have to argue that one is right and one is wrong ? why can’t we simply say, this is what I believe, you may believe otherwise, and that is fine by me, and that’s how it will be." I certainly subscribe to this.
The whole thing is that mainstream Islam of today (as represented by the majority of Islamic countries) seem to think otherwise. For most Muslim's, those that do not believe in the Koran are infidels that should not be allowed among true Muslims. And in some circles of radical Muslims, they should be eradicated. For else, why is Islam trying so hard to expand into new territories?
Trying to bring you back to my main argument in my previous post which you have ignored: Many Muslims today interpret the meaning of the Koran in such a way that it justifies, for them, the kind of activities as those of Sept. 11. And don't tell me they are a tiny minority. You know as well as I do that these acts were hailed from Jeda to Gaza, and from Kabul to Bahgdad.
So, no wonder we are asking ourselves why. This is why we are trying to understand the Koran, to see how do these people derive their justification from it.
If you, Amein, and your friends, believe that there is no justification in the Koran for such dids, then, what are you doing to convince others of the Islamic faith that they are wrong?
This is my question to you and I shall be interested to see your answer.
