Two very strong Sunday morning editorials very critical of the Bush administration's approach to reconfiguring its protocols for the Dept of Justice. This first is from the LA Times. latimes.com The second is from the New York Times. nytimes.com One cannot help but think what Ashcroft, had he remained in the Senate, would have thought of these procedures, had Gore won the presidency. What Hatch would have done, etc. The one person who seems to have some integrity in this on the Republican side is someone I have little love for, Spector of Pa. He's at least been consistent. John
