Absolutely, I've heard a similar account of the history of Israel from Michael Medved, whom I regard as a terrific historian. What's also interesting is how little help other Muslim nations gave Palestinians after the war to find a homeland. At least the Israelis recognized their right to exist. The same cannot be said for many muslim nations toward Israel. We can now far better understand the terrorist tyranny Israel has had to live with all these years. Terrorists who kill women and children indescrimately, should be treated like the cowardly nut-cases they are. Decent thinking muslims who want to join the human race need to openly condemn these acts of horror every time they happen. Yet, we mostly see a welcoming of the acts, or a shifting of the blame toward Israel. I wouldn't negotiate with these murdering thugs either.
