Things are boiling over in Isreal this weekend , first Jerusalem 12 were killed in a Mall siudide which injured another 180 , Sunday a sniper killed an Isreali Nuclear Scientist which was followed by a Suicide bomber taking the lives of 15 and injuring another 60 when he blew up a bus. Sharon wants bloody revenge for this, an immenent atttack on palestine is coming, much much heavier than in the past. There were reports of Isreali troops moving to the North since late Wedneday, Syria and Iraq could easily get involve with this skirmish . I don't like what i see thats for sure. it is obvious that the Hymas and other terrorist groups are provoking Isreal and forcing them to attack in revenge . The sept 11 attack on the Us was the same, forcing an expected reaction from the US and making sure the US and its allies would respond in the middle east. This war is about to escalate to a much larger surface area very very soon IMO. It has all the marking of a trap, and so far everyone is bitting as planned.

This new war is a no win situation for the defenders of liberty IMO,. How do you protect your country when the economics of Scal tilt in favor of the terrorists. A suicide Bomber is much more accurate and harder to deter than any multi million dollar smart bomb. The Suicide bomber has the ability to think and use his knowledge to evade his potential captors, and also has the ability to act when every one is least expecting it. Also the budget required to carry out an attack for the bomber is measured in 10's of thousands where as the protector nations need to spend 100's of Billion in security and weapons to try and deter attacks. Sooner or later the combatent that uses the least amount of resouces and inflicts the most damage wins. As you can see, a Suicide bomber has a huge advantage over any one of the USA's best technology. How long can the US and its allies keep spending Billions of dollars a day bombing sand castle in Afghanistan? They have already spent more fighting this war then Afghantistan has created in GDP in its entire lifetime. The US budget surplus is now an official deficit for at least the next 3 years , and that will be added to an already bloated national Debt. It would seem that there is less and less room for error and leaves less room for federal help in the event of another national crisis caused by earhtquake, hurricane or terrorist. You can print money all day long and make it appear that things are ok , but sooner or later people begin to realize that the paper you are printing is worthless and has no collateral to back it up, ala Enron. As they say , the bigger they are , the harder they fall. The terrorist attacked the heart of the world Financial sector and the more one digs deeper, the more they have seriously cracked its foundation. The Consumer is already maxed out on his credit cards, and you have to realize that, when even the good credit card companies that target the higher rated clients are increasing their loan loss provisions. Speaking of Enron, the derivative fallout from that company alone may surpass LTCM but don;t expect to read about the bailout in the Papers IMO, this will be done hush hush so as not to impair the psyche of the consumer. It seems that the government is fighting a war from many angles and each side needs huge amounts of money to fight with. it does not leave much room for the unexpected and you know Murphys Law, when things can go wrong , they will.

The last thing I want to see is a nation in crisis due to its debt and inability to sevice it, but it would appear that its the direction that the Us is headed in. Every action taken so far is one step closer to that realization. Maybe the actions of previous Governments have created a situation that forced this current Government to throw the proverbial 'Hail Mary Pass " in the hopes to avoid the unavoidable . If not, then they now have a long list of reasons to use as excuses for their debt restructuring in the Future.
