Of course it is easy to see things this way, but if you weren't "in the room" it would be hard to know whether ENE's original disclosure was:

-- honest
-- complete

and whether whatever subsequently was revealed was sufficiently substantive. There is a lot of room for subjectivity in all this!

And it could take a while to unravel........

It could also be argued that ENE is a slimy organization of vicious crooks who "entrapped" a decent well-meaning group of potential benefactors in order to grab them in its vicious crocodile jaws.........!

As you can see from this description, I find it difficult to visualize ENE in the role of innocent victim.
