A question on SMP Athlons: The Tyan SMP board was often benchmarked with standard TBirds. Is there any reason Athlon XP's can't be used on any MP Socket A boards?

After all, if TBird's worked, certainly Palomino's of any variety should.

I suspect that the MP chips are tested more thoroughly, and possibly have to meet their specs over a wider temperature range, so an 1800 MP chip may meet the specs for the 1900 in uniprocessor configurations.
