The reason I am not a Christian is because I think it means one accepts the creeds, at least the Apostle's Creed,and most likely the Nicene Creed. Since those were formulated centuries after Jesus lived and taught, there is no need, IMO, to accept them in order to be a follower of Christ. Why would you let anybody other than Jesus define for you what it means to be a follower of his life and beliefs?
