Arafatistan Hit! Why do the Palestinians not call for UN Troops in the area?

Me thinks that this could solve many problems, but I also think it wont happen because leadership of the sides dont want peace. This ridiculous back and forth slaughter of civilians provides the leaderships with the rationalizations they need to continue the struggle. Both sides should stop and say that we want peace and are willing to have neutral parties take control of some buffer zone, allowing neutrals to conduct searches and keep unruly crowds from inciting any more violence.

A Neutral force places World eyes on the parties, in this way the momentum of back and forth accusations/ reprisals could be stalled in it's tracks. Eventually the parties could get back to living normal lives. Peace is good if they could just give it a chance.

Interference from hate groups contributes mightily to the back and forth of the Mid East. A UN force may be the only way to hold accountable the outside influencers that seem to want this to go on and on and on.
