Marcos - good to hear from you! The story is basically correct however it fails to mention that Watson had been Engles and Brutons boss (at Anadarko I think. Also I don't think the problem was debt so much as the constant dilution of the stock by issuing shares to pay for acquisitions - I think they were well over 100 million at one point and this was IMO Engle's blind spot and it killed the company. I always heard that Watson was a wild man however. Also the story doesn't mention the departure of Engle and Bruton from the company - abruptly on the appointment of a new CFO. Grey Wolf was an extreme disappointment to me and has cost me a friendship.
