AMD generally blamed ASPs for the quarterly loss, if I recall. Trying to recall Hector's words re yields during the Q3 end CC and their recent webcast. Nothing comes to mind right away, but I think they've been claiming good yields all along. ?!?!

I believe Hector claimed "world class" yields which creates a sticky problem. How does he reconcile processor shipments with fab capacity and still make that claim?

We have been assuming full factory loading. If Hector is telling the truth, the only way to make things work is to assume about 33% utilization of their Fabs. Considering that AMD is selling processors at a steep loss, it would mean that they can only give away about 1/3 of what they could make. Any way you look at it things stink over at AMD.

We know about Jerry but Hector wouldn't lie to us, would he?
