I had my share of barfing, but it wasn't so much that. As you may notice, I like being lucid. I realized that I was drinking a lot more than I wanted to during the first semester of my freshman year at St. John's, just "keeping up" with people, so I made certain rules. If I drank, I nursed the drink for at least a half hour, sometimes an hour. Usually, I didn't drink, unless it would be too ostentatious not to, or it was a special occasion (I still got a little drunk when my friends returned for Homecoming). The habits worked for me, I didn't miss it, so I stuck with it, relaxing the regime on occasion, as when we had a little aparatif before dinner about a dozen years ago.......
