Great post..........There is probably alot of truth in your hypothesis. Ca land has not gone down too much in value but it is alot harder to sell. THere is also a reduced market for commercial expansion but expansion is still ongoing.

Here in the SF Bay area we have the highest cost of living in the country. Gasoline here is higher than the LA area yet we have many refineries and also produce some of our own oil and gas.

No self-respecting Californian would buy an inch of land from Enron!!LOL
