Mrs. Peel,

<<I live in the suburbs and I have tried to think of a single day to day scenario by which I would want to use Segway and so far come up with zilch. >>

You know, I can't either, since it takes me only a few seconds to get to my workstation here in my home office and I have a huge grocery store only 50 yards away.

But I'm not arguing my "particular" to the Segway "general." In addition, Kamen talks about the "city" and not the "suburbs," designed and engineered with automobiles as the exclusive transportation modality.

Expand your vision to include the 90% of rest of the world where suburban living is just a far off fairy tale.

Surbanites, it should go without saying, are not the only planetary dwellers.
