Personally I see problems for it in the city too.

For example if you live in NYC and you commute on the subway...do you lug it onto the subway? Then ride it 5 blocks to the office? Or if you go shopping...what do you do with it when you get into the store and what about packages when you are finished?

For me it's too far to my office to make it worthwhile for a commute (assuming good weather and naturally assuming the weather STAYS nice), the grocery store is out of the question...too far and what about the grocery bags..

Go to the mall? Put it in the trunk and lug it out to use inside? What do you do with it when you go into a store?

Geez, like I said Americans are too damn flaccid and fat as it is...... a little walking is GOOD!

I agree with your point about "the rest of the world" but quite honestly, it looks like it is more trouble than it is worth, because for me the only real application I can see using is where I would normally walk not drive...and frankly, I think I would prefer to walk.
