NewVision: I cannot guess as to whether a normally reliable indicator will, in this instance, fail -- I just quoted verbatim what I read. The editors of WallStreetWinners included those paragraphs as part of an update in which they believe the ST direction for the indices is to partially correct the gains since 9/21. They are not alone. The technical analyst John Murphy (MurphyMorris.com) and the technical analyst and market timer Sy Harding are also making that call.

On the other side of the fence, Don Hays (a savvy Wall Street veteran believes we are in the early stages of a powerful bull market that will last 18-24 months. He believes any corrections will be shallow and short lived.

They are unanimous in one regard, however -- they all believe that the lows were established 9/21 and do not see a retest to those levels. They differ, however, on how much of the gains since 9/21 will be given back in the first meaningful correction, if one occurs.
