I've supported converting the Ponzi scheme we lovingly call "Social Security" to an investment-based retirement system ever since Bill Buckley came out for it in the early '70's.... Much like Chile successfully did with theirs in the '70s.

But with the budget surplusses gone for the first half (both halfs?) of this decade, the opportunity is GONE.

Politicians of BOTH parties have lied consistently on this situation (diverting SS transfer payment streams to underwrite general budget deficits) for GENERATIONS now.

The jig is up.
