Well, the Mrs. and I survived the "Great Excite@home Blackout". IT WAS HISTORIC. Well, maybe not historic, just pretty unsettling and kind of like surviving a partial lobotomy. I exaggerate of course, but I didn't realize how much I am part of this medium (not the SI fora as much as the totality of the 'net itself). Gawd I missed the 'net. It was like they burned down my local library and clubhouse on the same night.

It has been quite a while since I involuntarily had no Internet service. I can't say I look forward to having that happen in the near future. I sure as hell preferred "myname"@home.net to "myname"@attbi.com. Sounds like the transsexual unit of some pornography producer when you spell it out for people "AY-TEE-TEE-BUY DOT COM", but I digress...

I have to say that I sure felt like part of that name is mine and if they happen to sell it to some unsavory person, I sure don't want my good name of 3+ years being dragged through the dirt.

I'll tell you this, they better retire that name if they plan to sell the @home.net mail domain to anyone. If they EVER use my name, as a former shareholder who was screwed in the BANKRUPTCY involving that name I will consider it an invitation to a lawsuit.
